Request:

ANBC managed their existing Cemetery & Burial records using a combination of Paper and a legacy MS access database.
The existing database was not shareable and provided no access for remote users to manage workflow processes.

The request was to:

  • Build a modern cloud based browser app
  • Build on the basic functionality with a large set of requests to improve and update the app
  • Provide an iPad app for remote users in Cemeteries to manage memorials, burials and visits
  • Provide the public with a searchable portal to find burial and plot information.

Solution:

A solution has been completed that provided

  1. A Browser app (cloud based) for registration staff to manage cemetery & Burial records
  2. An iPad app for remote staff to manage work orders
  3. A public portal for searching burial records

Feedback:

The registration department now relies on this system to operate. It is a one stop solution for the entire management of burials and plots as well as daily work orders.

The system gives us a powerful search and results at our finger tips that’s allow us to manage the process seamlessly, this is often while grieving families are with us and is very sensitive.

The system gives us the ability to complete this process smoothly.

The online portal for the public frees up the registration staff immensely, previously these were phone calls.

All in all this has been a hugely successful app delivery that we could not do without and Malachy has also been instrumental in driving future upgrades and constantly adapting to the changing requirements of the industry.
